FIRST PART

Werther is a young man who has a liking for nature, animals, friendly and simple people, for various reasons he had to travel to a region called Wahlheim to arrange some matters of his mother, he stayed some time there, he met many people,  Werther often writes to his friend Wilhelm, and he describes him how are the things in that place, describes the places, people, in addition the young Werther liked to draw, read, and deal with his affairs, often he portrayed the local people and nature of that place. One day he met an Administrator who invited him to a dance, he was accompanied by several people, when they were on the way to the dance a person of the car mentioned that they were going to pick up a beautiful girl, he told Werther that he will not fall in love of her, since she was engaged, he did not take the comment with much importance. Upon meeting the girl Werther was astounded, because she was very beautiful, she was taking care of children, they were her brothers. After the dance Werther began to frequent Lottchen, all of them called Lotte, young Werther looked for any excuse to go home and see her, over time it was customary for Werther to be in Lotte's house, even the children already knew him. She was a lovely woman, who took great care of her siblings, since she had promised her mother on the death bed, many local people who knew Lotte liked her to come and visit them, always she went with Werther, the same one who was filled with love for her, and without realizing he was deeply in love. One day Lotte's boyfriend returned, his name was Albert, a man who was worthy of her, Werther at that moment began to feel sadness, since he could not share the days with Lottte as he did before, but anyway Werther Visiting her, Albert did not care about that. Werther one day when he saw that Albert had some weapons in his house, he borrows one, Albert accedes to the request, some time after Werther cannot stand being far from his beloved Lotte, then he decides to leave that place.

SECOND PART

Werther got a job in an embassy where he met a Count, the same one who treated him very well, also he had some problems with the ambassador since he often made him repeat the writings, so he began to have difficulties, despite the distance Werther was still thinking about Lotte, he could not get her out of his thoughts. Werther did not like the attitude of people of that place, they were selfish and they only thought about themselves, he missed the times where every day was beautiful, now is the opposite. There he met a beautiful girl, but he did not compare with Lotte, he made a great friendship with her, they saw each other very often. One day the count invited him to a meeting, where he met his friend, she behaved a different with him, another day Werther spoke with her, the girl crying did not know what to say about that. Werther is not getting along with the ambassador resigned his position, when his resignation arrived he went to live with a prince, while traveling to his new residence decided to go to the place where he had spent his childhood, that place was no longer the same, it had changed, he was continuing on his way to go to the prince. After a few weeks of staying in the place Werther decides to leave since he has nothing in common with the prince. Werther still thinks about Lotte and decides to return next to her, in spite of knowing that he had married Albert, his love for her was indescribable he could not be far from her. On the way to Lotte's houses, Werther finds an unhappy man was picking flowers, the man tells him they are for his beloved, then the boy's mother arrives, the same one who tells him that the man is crazy, out of unrequited love . Werther is identical with him and thinks his case is similar, loving someone who does not love him. Werther arrived at Lotte's house, she did not seem to displease him, they talked to much, Albert was not happy with him, but he did not want to cause any trouble to Lotte. The young Werther his chest was burning for loving her freely. At times he wanted to tear his chest and let his blood flow from his veins.

THE EDITOR TO THE READER

Young Werther began to frequent Lotte's house, one day he noticed that Albert was not there and asked himself and he was worthy of Lotte's love, and he thought that he loved her more than anyone in the world, he felt distressed and melancholy for not being able to be next to his beloved. One day there was an incident in the village, a murder, Werther went there to find out what had happened, the unfortunate man he had met before was the murderer, he had killed the servant of the woman who loved him thinking they were engaged, Werther interceded for he before the administrator, as he put himself in his place and sometimes these ideas hovered his head about Albert. Near Christmas Werther was more distressed, as he thought he was hurting Lottte by his closeness to her, while she was married to Albert. Werther had made a decision, he will sacrifice himself for her, since he can not live without his love, one day he went to visit her, Albert was not at home, they talked Werther was to say goodbye, one moment he read a few poems, in them their story was reflected, they both cried bitterly, she sensing the fateful end and he could not pronounce the goodbye, at that moment he approaches her lips and kisses her, she runs away and encloses in a room, the young man just says goodbye and goes home, the next day the young man sends his servant to Albert's house to lend him his pistols, Lotte gives them trembling with the authorization of Albert, that night Werther takes the gun and shoot himself in the head, he does not die instantly, he suffers an agony until noon where his heart stops beating and leaves Lotte free to be happy with Albert.

CHAPTER 1

One day the professor LindenBrook came back to his house early, the maid still had not do the meal, she is Marta and she was talking with a guy, in that moment she was rapidly to the kitchen to prepare the meal, he was there when de professor came into to the house, he went to the studio, Axel is his nephew, he lived there because he was orphaned, also his goddaughter lived with them, Axel thought that the professor is a great person, but he was selfish, because when He taught for himself not for students, he had a problema in his lecture, he was not a good speaker, but he had a lot of knowledge about mineralogy.

CHAPTER 2

The professor had come back early because he had bought a book, he wanted to tell Alex about that, the professor said that book is amazing, Alex considered that was not an amazing book, it was old, but the professor said that the book had seven hundred years old, also it describe the chronicles of the kings of Ireland, it is a book writing by hand, and that book is the original, when the professor open the book a little piece of paper fall to the floor, the professor took it, and it was a scroll, Alex looked at him, the professor remained thoughtful, Alex was thinking that he did not understand the scroll.

CHAPTER 3

The professor was thinking about the scroll, because he did not understand what was written there, after that he said that the scroll was written after the book, he estimated that the scroll was written two centuries after the book, and he believed that was written in latín, he translated the scroll and got a strange words without meaning, he thought that it was encrypted, he started to try to read it, he used to change the letters, he took vertical letters and formed new words, it was not correct, the new words were unreadable, after that the professor got out the house and go away.

CHAPTAER 4

Axel stayed at home, he wanted to go to see Graüben, because he was fell in love her, but he thought that the professor could return, then he started to organize the new minerals that the professor had, he finished after a few hours, then he was thinking about the scroll, the said that is imposible to read, and started to try to form words, he found some words in four different languages that were not meaning, then he was playing with the scroll, then the scroll was upside down, then he could read it, he was surprised, he said it is crazy, the professor must not know what it says, then he tried to destroy it in that the professor come in.

CHAPTER 5

When the professor came back, he started to continue working with the scroll, Axel did not tell him that he knew how to read it, because he thought that is dangerous for him since he will go to that place, Axel fell asleep on the couch, while the professor kept working in the scroll all night, the next day the professor continued in that, the door of the house was closed, anybody could go out, in the afternoon the profesor opened the door to go, but Axel told how to read the scroll, the professor took the scroll and read it, after that the professor said him that it will prepare the luggage.

CHAPTER 6

After the dinner the professor and Axel went to the studio, there were talking about the scroll, the professor was in a good humor, then Axel tried to persuade him to not go the journey, but the professor wanted to go, Axel told him about many circumstances that happening in the journey, and he said that is very dangerous, the professor said it is not a problema, Axel resigned it.

CHAPTER 7

Axel went out to the house, he was walked around the city, he was thinking about the journey, he did not want to go, in that he looked at someone, she was Graüben, she was came back to the house, he told her about the journey, she was agree with that and she encouraged him to go, after that they came back to the house, the professor was preparing to the journey, at the next day they started the journey to the center of the Earth.

CHAPTER 8

The professor and Axel departed from Hamburg, they soon arrived to Holstein, where they remained until the following day, that evening many things came there such as tools and instruments that the professor had requested for the project, the next day they went to Korsör and took a boat, after several hours arrived in Copenhagen, in the city the teacher climbed a bell tower with Axel this to start losing the vertigo to the heights.

CHAPTER 9

On July 2, the professor began the journey to arrive to Iceland on a ship called Valkyria, they had to reach the population of Reykjavik, the professor when they were sailing felt dizzy, so the whole trip stayed in his room, the trip lasted for about 11 days, when they arrive there the first thing the teacher saw, it was a mountain behind the city, it was what he was looking for, while Axel went to see the city.

CHAPTER 10

When they arrive there the wise Fridriksson  was waiting for them, he invited them for a dinner, in the dinner they was talking with Mr. Fridriksson, he asked them by their projects, the professor sais that he was interested in books of Saknussemm, in that Mr. Saknussemm said that all his books  had been destroyed, because he was considered a heretic, after that the professor said that he was to investigate de Snelelt, Mr. Fridriksson  offered them a guide.

CHAPTER 11

The next day, Axel woke up because he heard to the professor speaks with someone, he was talking with Hans, he is the guide, they were talking a long time, after that Hans said the journey is about seven days, after that the professor started to prepare his things to the journey, he was organizing his tools, equipment and food, while Axel was to walk with the beach and he was thinking about that, the journey will start on June, 16.

CHAPTER 12

The journey began very early in the morning, Axel was a little skeptical about the trip and thought that it was impossible to reach the center of the earth, so it was better to enjoy the trip rather than stress, they gradually moved away from populated sites, they arrived at a siege where they found a fjord, they cross it used a boat, at the end of their first day of travel they arrived to Gardär, a gentleman hosted them in his house, they dined and then they went to rest.

CHAPTER 13

The next day the journey continued, there were fewer and fewer people to see, they moved farther and farther, after many hours of walking they came to the hamlet of Alftanes, they continued their way through swampy paths and stayed to sleep in the annex of Krösolbt, the next day continued their journey and on Saturday June 20 arrived at the Büdir, there lived some relatives of Hans, they stayed with them, then they left and finally arrive at Stapi.

CHAPTER 14

The next day, the journey began early, while Axel was walking on the trails, he was analyzing the rocks and their formation, it took three hours to reach their foothills, the trails were dangerous, then they walked all day, they were about three thousand feet tall, Axel could not over, the professor wanted to stay there, but Hans the guide did not, because it was dangerous, they decided to continue, about midnight they reached the summit.

CHAPTER 16

That night they slept a little, the next day they began the descent to the crater, Han headed the crossing, the slopes were dangerous so they decided to tie each other with ropes to avoid accidents, at noon they reached the bottom of the crater, there were three chimneys, the professor examined them, it was June 25th, those days were cloudy and rainy, but finally on the 28th the sun shone and his shade aimed at the central fireplace.

CHAPTER 17

They were preparing for the descent, very early in the morning preparations began, Axel was worried, then they divided the provisions, the sensible ones would take them, the rest they threw it by the chimney, they began to descend, and they made several stops, approximately after eight hours of descent they reached the bottom of the chimney where they spent the night in that place, Axel was seeing a star.

CHAPTER 18

The next morning they recovered the luggage that had been stuck, they ate a little and began the descent by a kind of cavern, they lit lamps, that illuminated lava walls, some were a dark color, while others were yellow, Axel was worried about the water, the professor said that they would find it when leaving that cavern because there was difficult to find water, in that moment they were to be at approximately 10000 feet of depth.

CHAPTER 19

The next day they resumed their march, they continued descending through the lava cave, after walking for several hours they reached a fork, both paths were similar, the professor chose one without hesitation, they began to descend, but after a while Axel observed that no longer descended the path was completely horizontal, the lava path was over, Axel was worried because they could not find water.

CHAPTER 20

After dinner, they went to sleep, the next morning they continued on the same path, Axel looked at the walls of the fossil cave, he thought they had gone wrong, he told the professor, but he continued on his way, After several days of road, they arrived at a wide place, it was a coal mine, that place did not make by humans, it was natural, after examining it carefully they did not find an exit, they decided to return.

CHAPTER 21

Axel was worried because they only had water for a day, and the return will take about five days, they began preparations at dawn, they arrived on July 8 at the place where the road was divided, Axel was about to faint, in that the professor gave him the last bit of water he had, and he asked him to give him another day to find water, he fail in that, if he did not, they came back, Axel agreed to this request of the professor.

CHAPTER 22

Early in the morning they began to descend by the other grotto, it was steep and they could see the descent, each time they were deeper, Hans was always in charge of the group, Axel was following them as they gradually lost more strength, they walked all day, and at nightfall the professor continued, in that Axel falls, they stop at that place, Axel can not sleep, in that he noted that Hans begins to move away from that place.

CHAPTER 23

Axel thought Hans had abandoned them, but he had not taken the ascent way, but he went the other way. After some time Hans returns and he said something to the professor, he told him that he had found water, then they started to descent, after walking for a few hours they listened to the water, Hans made a hole in one of the walls of the cave, because the water was on the other side.

CHAPTER 24

The next day Axel was in a good mood, he woke up the others and they had the breakfast, then they began to descent, they walked for a few hours, in some places the route was steep, after several hours of road they found a pit, it seemed to have rungs, they descended by it for several days, and rested on rocks protruding from its walls, on July 15 they came to a large grotto.

CHAPTER 25

The next day, it was Sunday, the professor had decided that that day they would rest in the grotto where they had arrived, the teacher began to calculate with his notes, he wanted to determine the depth to which they had arrived, it showed that they had walked about eighty five leagues, therefore they were under the Atlantic Ocean, also they had descended some sixteen leagues deep.

CHAPTER 26

They continued the march the next day, they began to walk and walk for several weeks, each time they were deeper, and on August 7 they were thirty leagues deep, they almost did not speak, then without realizing Axel was alone, he thought he had got ahead of the others, and started to back away, but he did not find them, he decided to follow the stream to return, but this had disappeared.

CHAPTER 27

Axel took some time to think about what he would do, he decided to return, he took the ascending path, so he would return to the fork that separated him from his partners, after walking for many hours of ascent he found a dead end, he fell impressed, and the lamp he brought broke, it barely had a dim light, he began to return, but the light was completely extinguished, he went on his way, but he crashed with the rocks and walls, and fell faint.

CHAPTER 28

Axel woke up from his unconsciousness when he heard a noise, he thought it might be some phenomenon occurring in the bowels of the earth, he paid more attention to listen again, he seemed to hear a murmur, and a few words, then he approached a wall and he started to speak, the professor listened to him, they were a league away, the professor tells him to return, Axel starts up but falls into a well and hits his head and he was unconscious.

CHAPTER 29

Axel regained the consciousness, he could see a dim light entering a hole in the grotto where he was, he could hear the murmur of the sea waves, he thought he might be imagining, then the professor told him that he will be well, that Hans and he took care of his health and that soon he will be better, then they ate, Axel asked him about the light and the sounds, the professor told him that he could not explain it.

CHAPTER 30

Axel decided to leave the cave, his eyes were almost closed by the brightness thing, after a few moments he could see, an endless a big sea, the shore with white sand, the air produced light by the atmospheric pressure, he could be seen clouds but also the granite sky, it was indescribable an immensity below the surface, they began to walk along the shore, after that they found a giant plants, in addition they looked fossils of animals.

CHAPTER 31

The next day, they had breakfast, Axel asked the professor where they were, he replied that they were some three hundred leagues from Iceland, and about thirty leagues deep, they had passed about forty-five days of their trip, then Axel asked about of the following projects, the professor said they would cross the sea, and for that Hans was building a raft with wood that was on the shore.

CHAPTER 32

At dawn the next day, they left the port of Grauben, since they baptized it with that name, the wind was favorable, after a short time the horizon disappeared, only water was visible on all sides, near midday Hans prepared a fishing hook, after a while  he caught a fish, the professor examined it and determined that it was an extinct species, Axel was about to fall of raft, since he had a moment of delirium.

CHAPTER 33

On Saturday August 15 the professor was restless since they did not reach the south shore of the sea, this was longer than calculated by the professor, since they had traveled three times as estimated, in that two monsters of the seas make their apparition, they were dinosaurs, and began to fight among them, one of them falls down, and the other disappears in the depths of the sea.

CHAPTER 34

The raft was moving at high speed, several days passed after the incident of the sea monsters, the teacher recorded the measurements of the trip, Hans climbs the mast to observe the horizon, he discovered a strange phenomenon, a water column that expelled upwards, and strong sound, when approaching it can be noticed that it is an island, the profesor in his calculations determined that they have traveled about 270 leguas in the sea, therefore are under England.

CHAPTER 35

After several days of travel, the professor was impatient, because the sea seemed to have no end, suddenly they can see on the horizon a storm, it is beginning to form, Axel suggests lowering the sail and the mast, but the professor said that they leave it, he wants the wind from the storm to take them to the shore, the storm becomes a hurricane, they are dragged with great speed for several days, the professor said they are lost.

CHAPTER 36

They began to hear a noise, it seemed from the waves crashing with rocks, they arrived at a beach, they were tired since the storm had lasted three days, that night they ate and slept, the next day Hans was recovering the instruments and tools, The professor began to perform calculations to determine their location, took the compass, he looked at it determined that they had returned to the starting point.

CHAPTER 37

The professor could not believe that he was in the same place of his party, Axel told the professor that it was crazy to try again, he said that nothing will stop him and will try again, but at that moment Axel and he walk by the beach, it was not the same one from which they had left, they found fossils of many prehistoric animals considered extinct, but of supernatural dimensions.


CHAPTER 38

After examining the bones of the animals, the professor found a skull, it was human, Axel and the professor were astonished, because they found a complete human body and it was well preserved, leaving aside some of the theories of other scientists, they found many other bodies, wondered how they had gotten there, whether they had lived in the cavern, and whether there could still be people alive.

CHAPTER 39

They continued walking along the beach, they entered a diverse forest with extinct plants, there they looked with amazement at some giant animals, in addition they could appreciate a kind of human, but this one was giant, they could not believe it, they left immediately that place, they came back to the beach, there they found a dagger, and determined that it was theirs, they began to look for inscriptions on the rocks, and found the initials A and S.

CHAPTER 40

They went to look for Hans to begin the journey through the grotto that they found, then Axel thought that the hardships that had happened were positive coincidences, that took them by the correct way, the next day they began the walk into the grotto,  but they found a dead end, they determined that was a rock, they decided to use gunpowder to break the rock.

CHAPTER 41

The next day in the morning they prepared the gunpowder, Axel after lighting the wick goes next to the others on the raft, they move away from the shore, after the explosion the lights go out, the water starts to run, the professor deduced that behind the rock there was an abyss, the same as they have recklessly opened, they continue on the raft, but they have lost their provisions, and they descend endlessly through a gallery for several hours.

CHAPTER 42

After several hours the raft hit bottom, they were fastened to the raft and it returned to the surface, the professor mentions that they are going up quickly, Axel confirms it by touching the wall of the gallery, the professor said that they are in a well, and the water reaches the bottom, it started to fill up, they eat the last supplies they have left, the temperature rises and a strange noise is heard, Axel thinks that it can be a catastrophe that is coming.

CHAPTER 43

Axel thought that an earthquake that was going to happen, the professor replied that it was something bigger, it was a volcanic eruption, and that would help them to go to the surface, since they were in a chimney, the water that propelled them upwards, it had evaporated, they were being driven by volcanic material at high speed, the same time it was interrupted by few minutes, Axel thought that would be his final and lost consciousness.

CHAPTER 44

Axel woke up and was gripped by Hans, with his other hand he held the professor, they were on the edge of an abyss, they had wounds on all sides, because they had rolled down the sides of the crater, they had reached the surface, they descended quickly, found some olive trees and vineyards, they did not know where they were, they found a child and they asked for the place, he answered El Estrómboli, they were islands in the Mediterranean.

CHAPTER 45

They went to the port and went through shipwrecks, on 31 August they took a boat to go to Marcella and later to Hamburg, when arriving the whole town was learned and the professor gained great popularity, in addition, Axel managed to solve the problem of compass, since it was pointing north, as they were going south, their poles had been inverted by the electric current of the storm in the sea of ​​Lidenbrock. Hans returned to Iceland, Axel and Grauben were married, Professor Lidenbrock was recognized around the world.

CHAPTER 1

After that he returned to his home where he found Rasumikhine, he said that his mother was sick, and his sister received a letter, after that she was concerned, Rasumikhine went to see Avdotia, and Raskolnikof wanted to go out, in that Porfirio came there, he said that he wanted to talk with him, then Raskolnikof offered a seat.

CHAPTER 2

At the beginning they were in silence, after a few minutes Porfirio said that he had to give him a explanation for the events occurred in the last days, he said that he started to suspect him, when he had hallucinations about a stone and bell, after that when he told Zosimof that he was the murder of the old pawnbroker, but, all of things only were suspicions, because Mikolka was the murder, after that he said that he did not believe that Mikolka was the murder, then Raskolnikof asked him, then who?, Porfirio said, you are the murder, Raskolnikof did not say nothing, after a few minutes Raskolnikof said that he should arrest him, Porfirio said at that  time will not but it has evidence, and he left the room.

CHAPTER 3

Raskolnikod wanted to talk with Svidrigailof, so he went to see him, when he was walking by the market, Raskolnikof saw him, at the beginning Svidrigailof tried to hide, after a few minutes, he called to Raskolnikof, when Raskolnikof came there, he saw that he was with a girl that she was singing and a boy that he was playing an accordion, in that moment he invited him to take a cup of wine, Raskolnikof said that he wanted to talk with him, then he said that if he try to use the secret that Raskolnikof had to try to blackmail his sister, he would kill him before denouncing it, after that Svidrigailof said that she will help to save him.

CHAPTER 4

Svidrigailof continued drinking, he took a cup of liquor, and he was drinking bit to bit, while he was talking with Raskolnikof, Svidrigailof said that he was not interested in her, because she was pure, and he respected her, furthermore, he said that he told him how was his married, at the beginning he was recued by Marfa Petrovna, when he was in the prison and he had a big debt, she helped him, then they were married, after that Marfa  hired a governess, she was Avdotia Romanovna, she tried to change Svidrigailof, many times she said him that he should change, but he did not want, now, he did not want nothing with her because, he is going to get married with another girl, she had sixteen years old, when he came there, he met her in a bar, she was a poor person, so he spoke with her family, and he wanted to get married with her, her family were agree.

CHAPTER 5

Svidrigailof and Raskolnikof left the room, Svidrigailof took a different path, but Raskolnikof wanted to go with him, because he thought that he could to try to do something against Avdotia, after that Svidrigailof took a car and Raskolnikof went far away of there, Svidrigailof had a meeting with Avdotia, they were gathered in a street, she asked him what told her in the letter, then he said that place is not appropriate for speaking about that, then they went to his house, he close the door, after he told the truth about his brother, Svidrigailof said that he is a murder, because, he had killed to the old pawnbroker, he said that he could save him, but if she wanted, she doubt about that, she thought that it was a trap, she had a gun, and she used it, but she failed, falter that he gave the key and let her go.

CHAPTER 6

Svidrigailov went to different places that night, in one of them he found a girl that she was singing for him, and a boy that he played a musical instrument, he did not drink liquor, only drank tea, after that he decided to go to see Sonia, and he gave many documents to her, they were payment receipts of the Catalina's children, also he gave her some money, after that he went to see his girlfriend, he said that he had to leave the city, but he will return, so he gave her a lot of money as a gift by marriage, after that he went to a hotel, he went to sleep, he had many nightmares during the night, at dawn he left the hotel and went to find a solitary place, but he thought that a crowded place will be better, he stood in front a officer, and he triggered the gun and killed himself.

CHAPTER 7

In the same morning Raskolnikov want to see his family, but when was near from their house, he had a doubt, so was decided to tell them the truth, when he had arrived there, his mother received him, so they were talking several minutes, they spoke about the article that had published him, she was very sad, because she had a presentiment about him, they were crying, he said that he love her, after that he left the house, because he had to return to his home, there his sister was waiting for him, they were talking, she knew the truth about him, she said that he must go to the police officer, he gave her a picture of his girlfriend who had died, and she was the only one who knew of his project, but she did not agree, after that they left the room, and took different paths.

CHAPTER 8

CHAPTER 1

His friend asked him if he went to the food organized by Catalina Ivanovna, he said that he will not go, but he wanted to talk with Sonia, his friend went to look her, when he came there, he said that he wanted to help him with a raffle, and, he gave her some money, she took the money, and went out.

CHAPTER 2

Many people believed that Catalina Ivanovna was crazy, because she did not have a lot of money, but she preferred to make a meal for the funeral of his husband, they thought that she could crazy by her illness. The lessor of his department was Amalia Ivanovna, she was helping to Catalina Ivanovna in the kitchen and preparing the meal, furthermore, she was in charge to other people to the meal, but Catalina considered that was wrong, because the main guests did not come, instead of them, other people arrived without invitation, after a while Raskolnikof came there and he apologized for not attending the ceremony at the cemetery, after that Sonia also came there, she was worried, because Catalina Ivanovna was upset, she thought that the meal will have a terrible end, she said something that ofended to Amalia, and she picked her silverware, after that she said that Catalina must leave the department.

CHAPTER 3

In the room only listened the voices of people who had drunk a lot, in that moment Lujini appeared in the door, he asked by Sonia, Catalina was glad with Lujini, he went to Sonia, and asked for a bill of a hundred rubles, that he had on the table, Sonia said that she did not know about it, alter that Lujini said that he had counted his money, before Sonia arrive there. Then the only person who could take the money was her. Andrés Simonovitch was listening in the door, then, he said that is a dirty trick, because himself put the money in the pocket of Sonia, he saw it, Andrés saw how Lujini took the money and put it in her pocket, after that Raskolnikof told them that about his family, and he said that was a trap of him to blame Sonia, that will be a proof of his words, and he could reconcile with  Avdotia.

CHAPTER 4

After of the incidents in the Catalina's house, Sonia went to her house, after a few minutes Raskolnikof went too Sonia's house, he had the intention to tell her the truth about the crime, when was there, he had a doubt, he thought that he was doing the right, then he decided to entered the room, Sonia seemed to be waiting for him, after that they sat around the small table, Raskolnikof started to talk about his ideas and ideology about power, and how important people could do bad things, after that he told her how happened the crime, then she understand that he had murdered two people, she was worry about it, Raskolnikof said that he did not wanted to confess the truth, but he asked her that she stayed with him. They were concerned.

CHAPTER 5

Andres Simonovitch went to Sonia's house, because he wanted to tell her that Catalina Ivanovna had gone mad, when she had come, she took her dress and became in clothes for her children, because she wanted that her sons sing and dance on street for money, Sonia went to look to Catalina, Raskolnikof  went to his house , after that his sister came there, and she said that she knew about his decision, because Rasumikhine told her, after that he went to look for Sonia, she was looking for Catalina, they were near Sonia's house, the children were dancing and singing, a man gave them 3 rubles, after that Catalina Ivanovna started to feel bad, Sonia took her to his home, Catalina was passing blood from his mouth, Sonia put her in her bed, after a few minutes she died, Svidrigailof was living next to Sonia, he said that he can pay the funeral and take the kids to an orphanage.

CHAPTER 1

The strange man that was in the room, he was waiting for a few time to talk with Raskolnikof, after a while Raskolnikof opened his eyes and saw him, at the starting he did not recognize him, but after a minuto he recognized him, he was Svidrigailof, his sister had worked with him time ago, Raskolnikof asked him what he wanted, he said that he wanted to talk with his sister, because he wanted to avoid that she married with Lujini, so, Svidrigailof also wanted to give an amount of money to her, he said it is trying to repair somehow everything that he had when she worked for him in his house, Raskolnikof did not agree with him, after that Svidrigailof said his wife had let an inheritance for her and she will receive in a few weeks. Finally he said that tells the whole conversation to her sister.

CHAPTER 2

When Svidrigailov was leaving the Raskolnikov's room, his friend arrived there, then they went to visit Rasoklnikof's family because they have a meeting with Lujini, while they were walking there, Raskolnikof said that it is posible that he was crazy, everything was produced by his mind, when they came there, they sat around a table to take the tea, immediately Lujini also arrived, he was angry because he had written to Pulqueria Alejandrovna that he wanted to see Raskolnikof because he had insulted him, Avdotia Romanovna asked him about the trouble and if it can fix, Lujini said that it is imposible, Avdotia don not break the engagement, in that they were starting to talk about Svidrigailof, Raskolnikof said that he was in his room a few hours before and he wanted to have meeting with Avdotia, in that Lujine left the room, they finished the engagement, but he hoped reconciliation.

CHAPTER 3

Luis left the room, after that he was thinking as it had been his life with Avdotia Romanovna as wife, he always wanted to marry with a poor educated girl because he wanted that he saw him as a hero, then he found Avdotia, she was everything he wanted, but now all it ended. The others stayed in their home, and they were talking for several minutes, all of them seem to be cheerful, but Avdotia Romanova has a pale face, in that Raskolnikof told them what Svidrigailof asked him, it was he wanted to give amount of money to Avdotia, Raskolnikof was not agree with that, but Avdotia Romanovna was thinking about that Raskolnikof had said. After that Raskolnikof took his had and left the room, he seemed to say goodbye forever, his friend left the room, they were talking in the hall, Raskolnikof said him, do not let them ever.

CHAPTER 4

Raskolnikof went to see Sonia, he asked to the doorman where is the Sonia's room, when he was there he saw to Sonia, she was surprised because she did not expect him, Raskolnikof was looking around the room, after that they were talking about her family, she was worried because her stepmother was very sick, and Raskolnikof asked her many question, what will happen to them, then she started to cry, after a few minutes he said that he had a secret, and he said many words that she did not understand, furthermore, he said that he left his mother and sister, and he wanted to stay with he, because they were equal.  Finally he said that next day he will tell her about his secret.

CHAPTER 5

Next day Raskolnikof went to police station, it is because Porfirio wanted to talk with him, Raskolnikof thought that he was going to be interrogated, but when arrieved there, he noticed that nobody was taking care to him, he was waiting for a few minutes before to talk with Porfirio, he was waiting for him, they started to talk about many things, Raskolnikof was confused because he thought that was a interrogation, Raskolnikof began to become angry with Porfirio, he thought that Porfirio wanted to confuse him until he confess the truth about the crime, Porfirio said that is false, if you were a suspect, I did other things, after that Porfirio said that he had something to show him, it was a person, Raskolnikof was surprised because he thought that he would be a witness, he was in another room.

CHAPTER 6

Raskolnikof was hungry because he wanted that Porfirio showed his proofs, but in that moment another thing was happened, a man entered to the office, he was with an officer who had his shoulder, after that the man knelt down and apologized, he was Nicolás, the painter who was working in the building where occurred the murder, he is Nicolás, after that Porfirio asked him how he had happened, he said that he had murder to Alena Ivanovna with an ax, after that Raskolnikof left the office and went to his home, there was thinking about the situation, so the door of his room opened, the man who saw yesterday was there, he apologized with Raskolnikof, he was a persona that Raskolnikof had said that take him to the police station days ago, and the man told him that he was in the police station before he was there, and he told Porfirio that he had stayed in the building asking by the blood, then Raskolnikof was sure that Porfirio did not have any proof against him.

CHAPTER 1

Raskolnikov in that night, he got a little sick, after that he said that it wanted to be alone, his friend Rasumikhine went with his mother and sister to his home because they stayed in a dangerous place, when they arrived there, Rasumikhine said them that he is going to return where it was Raskolnikof to see how is he, after that he came to tell them that he is well, Rasumikhine went to see a doctor in his party, Zosimof was there, they went where it was Raskolnikof, the doctor checked him. Rasumikhine convinced Zosimof to go to visit to the Raskolnikof's family, they went to see them, Zosimof told them what is happening with him, the doctor said that the disease was caused by the environment around him, but soon he will be well, after that they returned to Raskolnikof's house, they stayed there and took care of Raskolnikof whole night.

CHAPTER 2

Rasumikhine and Zosimof were taking care Raskolnikof, they do not have problems, even in the morning he was sleeping, Zosimof went to visit other patients, and he will come back near the midday, while Rasumikhine went to visit Raskolnikof's family, they were waiting for him, they had a breakfast and spoke about Rasolnikof, he said that they met one year and half ago, he seemed to have two personalities, one time he was a nice person, but other time he was strange person, he was disturbed since he was in the office police, and started his disease, they were talking about one hour, after that Pulqueria Alejandrova told him about a letter that they received in the morning, it was from Lujini, he said that he did not know nothing about Rakolnikof, and they must choose between them, Rasumikhine said the decision they take, it will be correct, after that they went to see Raskolnikof.

CHAPTER 3

When they arrived at Raskolnikof's house, his mother was afraid, because she thought that could happen the same thing happened the day before, but they entered to the apartment, Zosimof was there, he had come a few minutes before, and he had examined Raskolnikof, the doctor said he is better, then they began to talk to him, they were talking for several minutes, after that Raskolnikof said again that he is not agree with her decision to married with Lujine, Avdotia respondió that she took a decision for herself, it was not for reasons that Raskolnikof was thinking, but she gave the letter to Raskolnikof, after that he said that he did whatever she wnats, the she invited him to stay with them that night, she also invited Rasumikhine.

CHAPTER 4

They are gathered in the room, then a strange girl entered there, no one knows her, after a while Raskolnikov remembered her, she is a daughter of Marmeladof, the man who was hit by a car last night, she was there because her mother sent her to invite to Raskolnikof for a meeting in the next day, that is why the funeral of his father, she said, it is posible thanks to your help, after that her mother and sister left the room and went to their home, Raskolnikof asked Rasumikhine about the crime and Porfirio who is solving the case, because he wanted to recover a ring and a watch that he had pawned with her, after that they went to see to Porfirio, his office was near and they started to walk there.

CAPÍTULO 5

The two youth entered to the office and they started to talk with Porfirio Petrovich, he is the judge of instruction and he was working in the Alena Ivanovna's case, Raskolnikod said that he was there because he wanted to recover two things that he had  pawned with her, Porfirio was not surprised with him, because he was waiting, it is because he was the last person that went by his things, Porfirio said that he had to go to the police station, after that they were talking about an article on a newspaper that Raskolnikof had published few months ago. It was about of two type of people, they were ordinary and extraordinary people, ordinary people, they respect the laws and the other, extraordinary people were who had ideas, thoughts that they wanted to do, for that, they would do things that were necessary, even take the life of another human being, Porfirio asked him about the place and many things that he could see there, after that they went out.

CHAPTER 6

Rasumikhine and Raskolnikos went to see Pulqueria Alejandrovna, while they were walking, they were talking about Porfirio and questions that he asked Raskolnikof, they were upset with that, Raskolnikof said that he was suspected a few time ago, when the arrived to the house, Raskolnikof said that he had an affair to solve, and he went alone, Rasumikhine stayed there, Raskolnikof went to his house, he was very nervous, he went to check the place where he hidden the things that he took from the old pawnbroker, there was nothing, after that he stayed in the bed. He heard to his friend and he closed his eyes, his friend saw him and left the room, Raskolnikof was in that position for a half hour, he seemed to have a dream about the facts occurred in that night that he killed her, after a few minutes he woke up and saw a man, he have never seen him.

CHAPTER 1

The young Raskolnikov was sleeping when he can hear screams from the street, they are people who were getting out from the taverns, in that moment he was thinking about that he did last night, after that he was checking his clothes, he noticed that the fringes of his pants were drops of blood, also in his pocket had drops of blood, he cut them and tried to get rid of them, he went to sleep again, in the morning Anastasia knocked the door and gave to Raskolnikof a summons from the police. She said that he should not go to the police station if he is sick, but he wanted to go, the police station was near to his house, when he was there, he spoke with the secretary then he  present his summon and the secretary said it was by a debt that he had with Zarnitzine since nine months ago, Raskolnikof kept calm because it was different from what he had imagined. He did a declaration to repaid the money, don't leave the city and don't sell anything, after that he left the police station.

CHAPTER 2

The young Raskolnikov was thinking in the jewels that he had took at the last night, he thought that the police suspected of him, he went to his home and took the jewels, he put them in his pockets and went far away. He thought that the best way to get rid of the jewelry was throwing them to the sea. After that he thought that is better to bury them in the forest, when he was waking to the forest he saw an abandoned place, in that moment he decided to let the jewels under a rock in that place. After that he continued walking until he arrived at home's friend, he entered there and took with his friend, he was working in a translation, he wanted to give a part of that to Raskolnikof, but he refused and let that place. He walked for several hours until arrived his home, he was to sleep and woke up by scream of his lessee, after a while Anastasia entered to his room with food, he asked her about the screams, she said nothing happened, no one was screaming.

CHAPTER 3

The young Raskolnikof recovered the awareness, in his room were his friend Razumikhin and the maid, anastasia, they told him that a friend of Razumikhin is a doctor, and he have checked him, he was sick because he had eaten well the last days, but he will be well soon, also, a strange man was looking, the man was a businessman, his mother had sent money with him, he wanted to deliver the money to Raskolnikof, but el young man did not want that money, his friends convinced him to take the money, after that he thought that he continued to have hallucinations, so he wanted to go to other place where no one could find him. He drank a beer and he was dizzy. He was to sleep, when he woke up, his friend was waiting with a package, it was clothes for him, they helped him to change clothes, in that Zosimof arrived there.

CHAPTER 4

Zosimof was a doctor, he was visiting to Raskolnikof to see his progress, Rasumikhine said that he was recovered the awareness, the doctor said it is good, he is better, but he must eat only some things ad soon he will be well, after that they was talking, Zosimof invited Rasumikhine a party, it was because he was changing his house where he lived, he said is a small party, only close friends will go, Rasumikhine was not sure to go, after that they started to talk about the crime of the old pawnbroker, they was furious with police, because they considered that they did not do the best to resolve the case, the main suspect was a painter who was working in the building in that day. In the night that occurred the murder he was working with a friend, but they left that place because they were playing, the painter came back there to organize his tools and found the earrings behind the door. Police continued searching, in that a man arrived to the Raskolnokof's room, no one knew him.

CHAPTER 5

The strange man was stood at the door for a while without saying anything, Rasumikhine asked him who are you, then he said my name is Piotr Petrovich and I am looking for Raskolnikof, Zosimof said, he is lying in the bed, he is sick for several days, today he recovered the consciousness, Piotr Petrovich said that he is engaged with his sister, Raskolnikof was angry because he considered that he is not adequate for her. All of them were talking about economy and politics, Piotr Petrovich was uncomfortable because Rascolnikof was not friendly with him, he told them that his mother and sister will come in the coming days after that Piotr Petrovich decide to leave that place, they continued to talk about the crime, in that moment Raskolnikof said that he wanted to be alone, all of them went out to the room.

CHAPTER 6

anastasia helped Raskolnikof to put the new clothes that his friend Rasumikhine had bought, after that he left his room and went out, he was walking and thinking in the crime, he wanted to finish with that, then he was near a cafe, he entered there and ordered a tea and the newspaper and old newspaper to read about the crime, then the secretary of the police station approached him, they were talking of many things, the secretary asked him what about he was reading, Raskolnikof said I was reading about the crime of the old pawnbroker, Raskolnikof thought he was suspected, after that Raskolnikof left that place and started to walk, he came to a bridge, in that place a girl jumped to the river, a police rescued her, he started to walk again, he was in the building where occurred the crime, he was to the room, and saw that everything was different, he said to the doorman that he wanted to rent that room, they were surprised and they did not pay attention to him.

CHAPTER 7

Raskolnikov started to walk by different streets, in that he saw many people, he went to see what is happening, it was an accident, a person was run over, the driver said that he was innocent because he was driving slowly and suddenly he was on street and the horses passed over him, the policeman was asking if they knew who is him, Raskolnikof knew him, he is the man who met weeks ago in a tavern. Raskolnikof decided to take him to his home, when they came there, Raskolnikof was looking for a doctor, the doctor said he is bad, he only has about five minutes of life, a priest arrieved there and spoke with him after that he died, Raskolnikof was affected by facts then he gave all of his money to Catalina Ivanovna, and left tht place. He went to see to his friend Rasumikhine, after that they went to Raskolnikof's house, there were waiting his mother and sister.
